Jenna Meleedy is a senior at Pennsylvania State University pursuing a B.A. in media studies with minors in civic and community engagement and communication arts and sciences. She is a News Literacy Ambassador with Penn State’s News Literacy Initiative and an Education Advocacy Intern with the Media Education Lab. Coming of age in the midst of the most divisive political cycles in recent history drove her to media literacy as a tool for empowerment and a combatant to political radicalization. She spent the first half of the 2024-25 school year in the Czech Republic teaching media literacy curriculum to secondary students.
