
Mike Jackson, SHRM-CP, is Vice President of Public Policy and Research at Worldwide ERC (WERC), the premier membership association for professionals in the talent mobility industry. At EERC, Mike leads U.S. and international public policy initiatives encompassing areas such as immigration, sustainability, North American real estate and mortgage issues, global tax, and compliance matters. Mike also oversees research initiatives around mobility industry trends and practices. Prior to this role, Mike served as WERC’s Chief of Staff, overseeing various internal activities including the human resources and technology functions.
Prior to joining WERC, Mike was the Manager of Employee Experience at the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), which is the world’s largest human resources association representing over 300,000 members globally. Previously, Mike worked for over a decade in the workforce mobility industry partnering with multinational corporations to administer short-term training and internship programs via the Department of State’s J-1 Visa Exchange Visitor Program. In addition, he has held various roles overseeing operational and programming areas within associations such as the Council for Global Immigration, Association for International Practical Training, and the Middle East Institute. Mike also is a member of The Appraisal Foundation’s Advisory Council, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Immigration and International Tax Subcommittees, and the Steering Committee for the Upward Mobility internship program.
