Carson Clements joined the NAMLE team in September 2021 and now serves as the Digital Communications Manager. In this role, she leads NAMLE’s digital communication efforts, crafting and executing strategies that span social media, newsletters, website management, and fostering meaningful organizational partnerships. She also co-runs NAMLE’s Youth Advisory Council and manages the organization’s internship program, helping develop the next generation of media literacy leaders.
Carson holds a Journalism degree from Indiana University, specializing in Public Relations and Strategic Communications, with a minor in Political Science. Her passion for media literacy was sparked during her time at IU, but what sustains that spark is how the field connects her interests and values, uniting them in service of work that makes a real and meaningful impact.
Carson brings a wealth of expertise to her role, including developing targeted communication strategies, creating engaging social media campaigns, implementing SEO best practices, designing impactful visual content, and building collaborative partnerships.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Carson enjoys spending time with her pets—two cats, Noodle and Rocket, and a Corgi named Frank—and diving into a good book. Though a proud Hoosier at heart, she currently resides in South Carolina with her husband, Chaz, and their son, Wesley.
