Catherine Page, Youth Council Member

Catherine “Cassie” Page is a student at American University majoring in International Studies, with a minor in Educational Studies and serves as Co-Chair of the UNA-USA Youth Affinity Group. Over the past four years, she has worked to ensure youth are not only heard but meaningfully empowered to lead within global governance and civic spaces. Her advocacy is rooted in the belief that media literacy and digital fluency are essential to equitable participation in democracy and global decision-making.

Catherine co-authored the AI for SDGs framework with UNA-USA, examining how emerging technologies, information ecosystems, and ethical innovation can either reinforce or disrupt existing inequities. She also co-chaired the first-ever Teen Board at the United Nations Internet Governance Forum, the Dynamic Teen Coalition, where she helped elevate youth perspectives on digital rights, access to information, and responsible technology governance. From local government to Capitol Hill, Catherine has represented youth voices with a focus on digital literacy, youth inclusion, and equitable development.

She is passionate about building intergenerational collaboration within civic and international institutions and creating pathways for young people to develop the critical media literacy skills needed to navigate misinformation, engage thoughtfully with technology, and shape a more inclusive, empathetic, and informed future.
