National Association of Media Literacy Education’s first-ever Media Literacy Leadership Summit took place on Saturday, September 30, 2023. The in-person gathering was at Emerson College in Los Angeles, CA.

The full day participatory summit will focus on the question “What is the future we want to create for media literacy education?” to help our community envision a path forward for scaling media literacy education efforts in the U.S. The workshop was facilitated by Sangita Shresthova, PhD, from Civic Imagination Project at University of Southern California. We asked participants to step outside the box, roll up their sleeves, and envision the future of media literacy education.
