If you’re interested in contributing content or resources to NAMLE’s website or publications, we welcome your submissions. Please feel free to reach out to us with your proposed content or resources. However, please note that submission does not guarantee dissemination of content or resources, as all submissions are subject to review and editorial consideration. What types of events or conferences does NAMLE host throughout the year?

Throughout the year, NAMLE hosts a variety of events aimed at advancing media literacy education. These include:

  • Membership Meetings, which are open to the public, feature changing agendas, and are free to all NAMLE members. 
  • Critical Conversations that are panel discussions or plenary talks on hot-button issues for the media literacy community.
  • Brown Bags to serve as a more consistent touchpoint for the community and a way to elevate voices within the NAMLE community. These might take the form of book talks, research talks, or resource showcases.
  • United States’ Media Literacy Week, which raises awareness about the importance of media literacy education. 
  • NAMLE Summits to bring together educators, youth, researchers, industry leaders, and advocates to explore the evolving intersections of media, technology, and society.

Throughout the year, NAMLE maintains an Events page, where community members and organizations can submit events related to media literacy education for wider dissemination and engagement.

While we greatly appreciate your interest in starting a media literacy program or organization, it’s important to note that NAMLE does not currently have the capacity to provide direct guidance or support for individual initiatives.
